In this tutorial I will teach you how to create a new invoice from the 'Financials' section, please note that creating an invoice in this area will not relate it to a project, to do this you will need to create the invoice from within the project. For more information please see our 'Project Financials' tutorial. The process for creating a new quotation, credit note and pro-forma is exactly the same.
Select 'New Invoice' from the options on the right hand side.
Click 'New Invoice' and you will be presented with a window as shown below.
Fill in the details as shown above. You can select who the invoice is to using the drop down fields, and automatically enter their address by clicking 'Update Address'
Use this tab to keep track of the payment. Enter the amount that the client has paid in the space provided, or if they have fully paid the invoice, click 'Pay in Full'. The 'Payment Ref' is a reference of your choice.
