General

In this tutorial you will learn about the settings in BC Managers General configuration.

Accessing the configuration

Click "Settings" and "Configuration". This will bring up BC Managers Configuration Editor.

Project Numbering

Here you can add Project Reference codes. What you set these to is entirely up to you, in this example I have decided to add four reference codes, for projects in the Northern area of Brighton I can give the reference code "BTOWN-N", the south "BTOWN-S" etc. Each time I give the a project the reference code "BTOWN-N" it will assign it a number, which will auto-increment with the next project I assign "BTOWN-N" to. Set the "Current #" to the number that you would like to start your incrementing from.

Project Reference (Display Format)

Select this dropdown to choose how your Project References are displayed, by default they will be displayed as CODE/NUMBER/YEAR.

Invoices

Initially this field sets the number which you would like your invoices to start at, it will auto-increment with every new invoice, but can be changed manually at any time.

Banding

Here you can specify your bandings for Government Reporting. Simply add the description in the box provided and click '+' to add it to the list as shown above.
