In this tutorial we will learn about the "Details" tab which you will come accross when adding a new Project or editing an existing Project.
Select a project reference using the drop down menu, you can add Project Reference codes in the Configuration (See our "General Configuaration" tutorial for more info). My new Project is in the East of Brighton, so I'm giving it my present Product Reference "BTOWN-E" which I created in the "Basic configuration" lesson. The Reference number will auto increment, you can choose what number it increments from in the configuration. The year is a two digit representation of the year (ie. 10 = 2010).
Use the drop down menu to select the current status of the Project. As with the Project References, the list of statuses is pre-defined in the Configuration.
Select the site which you would like to associate this Project with using the drop down menu as shown above. For more information on adding sites please read the "Add a new Site" lesson.
You can easily add Related Contacts using the drop down menus as shown above. These are contacts that you will have previously added in the 'Contacts' section. For more information on this please refere to our "Add a new Contact" lesson.
In the General section you can create a short description and a long description. When adding a short description, click the arrow to display a drop down menu containing any pre-defined short descriptions that you have set in the configuration (See our "Projects configuration" tutorial). If you would like to enter your own custom description then ignore this and simply type your short description in the box provided.
To add a surveyor to your Project select simply click the arrow to open the drop down box, select your surveyor and click the '+' to add them to your list or surveyors on the current project. To add additional surveyors to the list refer to the "Add a new Contact" lesson.
