Creating, Editing and Deleting a Report Template

In this tutorial you will learn how to create your own Report template which you can then use to quickly generate reports for projects at a later date.

Creating a report template

From the "Home" menu, click "Report Designer" to open the report designer window, which you may be familiar with from generating reports within a project. Once the report designer is open, click "New" and the window shown below will be displayed.

1. Give the report a name using the "Report Name" field.
2. Select a catagory for it usng the drop down Category list. The category enables the user to filter the report templates, making it easier to navigate when there is many of them.
3. Click "Create".

You will now have the report designer presented to you, as shown above. Use the tools provided to create your templates.

Editing a report template

To edit a report template, select the report you would like to edit, click 'Edit' and then follow the rest of the steps above.

Deleting a report template

To delete a report template, select the report you would like to delete, and click 'Delete' when promted "Are you sure?" click 'Yes'.
